Pau Gasol and Others Remember Kobe Bryant on His 44th Birthday

Bryant would have turned 44 on August 23.

“Happy birthday, hermano. Miss you, always,” Gasol tweeted.

“Happy birthday, baby! I love you and miss you so much! #44,” posted Vanessa Bryant.

The Lakers are the subject of a new documentary, “Legacy: The True Story of the LA Lakers,” airing on Hulu.

The documentary follows the rise of the Lakers under Dr. Jerry Buss through the Showtime Era, the Kobe-Shaq three-peat, and more.

LeBron James, Magic Johnson, Kareem Abdul-Jabbar, Pat Riley, Jeanie Buss, and others are interviewed for the series.

Bryant was an 18-time All-Star, five-time NBA champion, four-time All-Star MVP, two-time Finals MVP, and 2007-08 regular season MVP.

He was also inducted into the Basketball Hall of Fame, a member of the 75th Anniversary Team, and an Oscar winner.
